Disputes and Cancellations
We encourage our Businesses and Content Creators to try and settle conflicts amongst themselves. If for any reason this fails users can contact Monetad's Support for assistance here.
1 Basics
In Collab, cancellations can be performed on Monetad, when eligible(before agreed Collab Сontract) or through the Monetad support.
Filing a transaction dispute or initiating a chargeback through your payment provider or bank after a Collab has been accepted and delivered is a violation of these Terms of service. Doing so may result in your account being temporarily or permanently disabled.
Note: Once you initiate a dispute with your payment provider, the funds become ineligible for refund due to our obligations to that provider.
If you encounter an issue related to a Collab, we recommend using our Monetad Support to resolve the dispute.
Monetad, through its Payment Services Provider, reserves the right to cancel a Collab or place funds on hold in the event of suspected legal violations, breaches of the Terms of Service, or fraudulent activity within the app.
Any transfer or assignment of intellectual property rights to the Business is contingent upon full payment by the Business. The Business will not obtain the right to use the delivered work until payment is completed and not later reversed for any reason.
If a Collab is canceled for any reason, the funds paid will be returned to the Business's Monetad Balance or Content Creator balance by decision of Monetad Support.
Requesting additional services beyond those agreed upon in the Collab Contract is not permitted.
Collab Cancellations
Monetad encourages Businesses and Content Creators to resolve any claims or disputes by mutual agreement via the in‑app chat.
Eligibility for requesting a Collab cancellation from Monetad is assessed based on potential misconduct, violations of our Terms of Service and/or Community Standards, or improper use of the Monetad system. The specific rules of applicability are outlined below.
In exceptional circumstances, at the discretion of our Monetad Support team, a completed Collab may be canceled even after it has been marked complete. In such cases, the amount paid for the canceled order will be returned to the Business's Monetad Balance and deducted from the Content Creator's Monetad Balance—or, if that balance is insufficient, from their future earnings.
Collabs are not eligible for cancellation based on the quality of services or materials if those services were provided in accordance with the description on the Offer Page or as agreed in the Collab Contract between the Content Creator and the Business. You may rate your experience with the Business on the Collab Page, including the overall quality of the service received.
Any unauthorized use of Monetad during a Collab may result in its cancellation after review by our Support team. This includes, but is not limited to, harassment, unlawful behavior, or other violations of Monetad's Terms of Service.
Monetad may cancel a Collab for, but not limited to, the following reasons:
Collab with Contract, before "In Progress" status
(after the Business has submitted requirements and before the Content Creator delivers):
- The Content Creator delays performance by more than 24 hours and is unresponsive while the Collab is marked as Late.
- Users abuse each other through threats of low ratings or by leveraging Collab materials (such as account credentials or personal information) against one another.
- Users supply or include materials that infringe copyrights or trademarks as part of their requirements.
- A user is no longer an active Monetad member due to Terms of Service violations or account deactivation.
Collab In Progress
(after the Content Creator clicks "Agree to final confirmation" and before the Collab is marked complete):
- The Content Creator provides only proof of completion without delivering the agreed files or evidence; subjective materials will be reviewed by Support.
- The Content Creator demands additional payment on or off the app by withholding the final deliverable or threatens to delete/hide the publication.
- The Content Creator deletes or hides the publication before the deadline specified in the Collab Contract.
- Users threaten to leave a negative review to coerce additional services beyond the agreed requirements.
Completed Collab
(after the Collab is marked complete):
- Users are found, with verified evidence, to have used infringing materials (copyright or trademark).
- Users have used delivered materials commercially without purchasing the required commercial-use rights.
Chargebacks
Monetad reviews chargebacks and disputes with payment providers on behalf of Content Creators. Outcomes depend on the reason for the chargeback, but we strive to resolve disputes in the Content Creator's favor. If permitted by the chargeback process, Monetad—through its Payment Services Provider—will return part or all of the earnings to the Content Creator; otherwise, the chargeback amount will be borne by the Content Creator.
Refunds
Monetad does not automatically refund funds to your payment method when an order is canceled. Funds from canceled Collabs are returned to the Business's Monetad Balance and can be used for future Collabs.
Requests for refunds to the Business's payment method (i.e., to the payment provider) can be made on the Wallet page. Refunds depend on your payment method, amount, and currency. To prevent fraud and abuse, we limit the number of refund requests, and each request is reviewed by our Support team. Additional fees may apply.
Content Creators may offer partial refunds for a specific Collab. Upon the Business's acceptance, the amount will be automatically refunded to the Business's payment method. If Monetad—through its Payment Services Provider—is unable to process the refund to the Business's payment method, the amount will instead be credited to the Business's Monetad Balance.
Payment Terms
1. Receiving Payments
Content creators are responsible for paying any direct or indirect taxes, including any GST, VAT or income tax, which may apply to them depending on residency, location or otherwise, under provisions of their jurisdiction. Content creators represent and warrant that they comply, and will comply at all times, with their obligations under income tax provisions in their jurisdiction. The price shown on the Content creator's Collab screen, agreed between Content creator and Business, is inclusive of all such taxes and charges that may apply to the Content creators.
Appointment as Limited Payment Collection Agent: Payment Service Providers facilitate payments to Content creators. In the event Monetad receives any funds, Content Creator agrees that Monetad does so as its agent. Content creator hereby appoints Monetad as Content creator's limited authorized payment collection agent solely for the purpose of accepting payments (via its Payment Services Provider, if applicable) from Business, and remitting those payments to Content creator. Content creator agrees that payment from Business to Monetad shall be considered the same as made directly to Content creator. Business's payment obligation to Content creator will be satisfied upon receipt of payment by Monetad via its Payment Services Providers, and Monetad via its Payment Services Providers, is responsible for remitting the funds to Content creator in the manner described in these Payment Terms. In the event that Monetad, (via its Payment Services Providers), does not remit any such amounts to Content creator, the Content creator will have recourse only against Monetad and not the Business directly. Content creator agrees that Monetad may describe or otherwise reflect the terms contained herein in any terms of service, receipts, disclosures, or notices including, but not limited to, receipts provided to Business that Monetad may deem necessary or prudent.
Content creator may withdraw their Earnings using one of Monetad's withdrawal options (see Withdrawal Method section below regarding withdrawal fees). To withdraw your available Earnings, you must click on the designated withdrawal provider to initiate the withdrawal process.
To withdraw your Earnings, you must have an account with at least one of Monetad's Payment Service Providers for the withdrawal methods listed in section 2.3 below. All funds eligible for Withdrawal will be held on your behalf at an account with Monetad's Payment Services Provider with which you opened an account. All payment services, including withdrawal services, will be provided by Monetad's Payment Services Provider and not by Monetad itself.
Your Monetad profile can be associated with only one account from each Monetad withdrawal method. A Payment Service Provider withdrawal account can be associated with only one Monetad profile.
Monetad may temporarily disable a Content Creator's ability to withdraw Earnings where Monetad determines, in its sole discretion, that such action is reasonable in order to comply with legal requirements, prevent fraud, or protect the rights or interests of Monetad or any third party. While not an exhaustive list, this suspension may be a result of security issues, improper behavior reported by other users, or associating multiple Monetad accounts to a single withdrawal provider.
- Withdrawals can only be made in the amount available to you.
- Withdrawal fees vary depending on the withdrawal method and are defined by the Payment Service Providers.
- Withdrawals are final and cannot be undone. We will not be able to cancel or reverse this process once it has begun.
Content creators will be able to withdraw their Earnings from disabled accounts after a safety period of 90 days following full verification of ownership of the account in question, from the day of the last cleared payment received in their account and subject to Monetad's approval.
2. Purchasing and paying
A business may only enter into a Collab in progress stage once 100% of the agreed payment amount is available in their account balance. The funds will be held in escrow until the Collaboration is completed.
Monetad does not operate as a financial institution or payment service provider. All monetary transactions are processed by an independent third-party payment provider, which assumes full responsibility for the management and safeguarding of user funds.
Monetad serves as Content creator's limited authorized payment collection agent solely for the purpose of accepting payments (via its Payment Services Provider, if applicable) from Business, and remitting those payments to Content creator. Business's payment obligation to Content creator will be satisfied upon receipt of payment by Monetad via its Payment Services Providers and Monetad via its Payment Service Providers is responsible for remitting the funds to the Content creator in the manner described in these Terms. In the event that Monetad via Payment Services Providers does not remit any such amounts to Content creator, the Content creator will have recourse only against Monetad and not the Business directly. In accepting liability as the limited authorized payment collection agent of Content creator, Monetad and its affiliates assume no liability for any acts or omissions of Content creator.
Service fees on Monetad cover administrative costs.
Service fees are added at the time of purchase where you can review and accept the total amount requested to pay. As of April 2025, the service fees for Collabs are 5% of the purchase amount.
In case you, as a Business, have an available Wallet Balance, it will be automatically used to pay for your next purchase.
You may not offer Content creators to pay, or make payment using any method other than through the Monetad. In case you have been asked to use an alternative payment method, please report it immediately to Monetad Support here.
You agree to receive invoices and/or payment receipts from Monetad in electronic form as PDF documents, by email.
To protect against fraud, unauthorized transactions (such as money laundering), claims, or other liabilities, payment information in connection with withdrawals is collected by either Monetad or Monetad's Payment Services Providers. Payment Services Providers may also collect such other information as necessary for the purpose of processing withdrawal payments. Payment information provided to Payment Services Providers is subject to the Payment Service Provider's privacy policy and their terms and conditions.
By using any payment method and/or providing payment details for making purchases on Monetad, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are legally authorized to provide such information; (b) you are legally authorized or have permission to make payments using the payment method(s); (c) if you are an employee or agent of a company or person that owns the payment method, you are authorized by that company or person to use the payment method to make payments on Monetad; and (d) such actions do not violate any applicable law.
Your Wallet Balance is always valued in US$, even if it is displayed in a non-US$ currency. Therefore, should you choose to view your Wallet Balance in any currency other than US$, it may change daily in accordance with exchange rate fluctuations, while always maintaining the same US$ value. Users always have the option to view their Wallet Balance in US$ by changing their selected displayed currency.
Monetad may be required by applicable laws to charge users with indirect taxes (such as Sales Tax, VAT or GST) or to withhold taxes. Any amount Monetad will be required to collect will be in addition to the purchase amount and any other fees payable by the Business, and any amount Monetad will be required to withhold will be deducted from the Content creator's Earnings, as required by applicable laws.
Indirect taxes are in addition to the price shown on the marketplace, and in any event, any such taxes will always be displayed to the Business before payment.
Users are responsible for paying any direct or indirect taxes, including any GST, VAT, or income tax, which may apply to them depending on residency, location or otherwise, under provisions of their jurisdiction.
